Glorfindel: The Elf Who Came Back

Glorfindel died fighting a Balrog during the Fall of Gondolin, plunging into the abyss locked in combat with the demon. Thousands of years later, he appeared in the Third Age—the only Elf in Middle-earth known to have been resurrected and sent back by the Valar.
